fundraiser

Wednesday—Saturday
11—4pm

This December we are pleased to bring The Bower — Box of Delights to Brunswick Park.

Referencing the 1935 children’s novel of the same name by John Masefield, where the main character possesses a magical box which allows him to go back into the past and experience the wonders contained within, The Bower — Box of Delights will have a range of artists’ editions, books, gifts and vintage and handmade items for sale.

We will also be hosting a series of festive events and workshops throughout December. Keep an eye on our website and social media pages for details.

All proceeds from The Bower — Box of Delights shop will support our fundraising for our 2019 programme. All events are free and open to all, or by donation for materials.

Storytelling with Gabby Dawnay
Sunday 9 December 2018, 11am
Free, no booking required

Listen to author Gabby Dawnay read from her new book A House for Mouse, created with illustrator Alex Barrow.
A House for Mouse is a heart-warming picture book about a little grey mouse who leaves his tiny hole in the forest to explore the wider world. On his search for a new house he unwittingly encounters the homes of some of the biggest stars in Fairytale Valley, including Old Mother Hubbard, the Three Little Pigs, Rapunzel and Hansel and Gretel. Eventually he comes face to face with the most spectacular house of all: Sleeping Beauty’s glorious, towering castle, where he concludes that grandeur counts for nothing: it’s family and friends that make a home.  New from the bestselling creators of If I Had a Dinosaur as seen on CBeebies Bedtime Stories.
