REPLICA RELIC, Queer History in Sculptural Contexts

exhibition

Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September 2022
Open 2-7pm

We are excited to host REPLICA RELIC a 14-hour installation and pop-up print shop bringing together rare archival materials from queer history, free facsimile prints to scatter knowledge of that past more widely, and sculptural contexts that question how even the most radical histories are shaped and hyper-mediated by capitalist interests.

To celebrate the installation, on 17 September at 1pm Brooke Palmieri and Ben Kinmont will be in conversation about their shared love of radical printing, and the embodiment of that history in their very complementary printing practices and recent project

CAMP BOOKS—about

Brooke Palmieri is an artist, writer, and educator working at the intersection of memory, history, and gender non-conformity. In 2018 they founded CAMP BOOKS, a platform and travelling bookshop promoting access to queer history through prints and zines; workshops and lectures; and the construction of archives related to LGBTQIA+ activism and the long history of gender non-conformity.
