Feminist Print Network at Brunswick Park 1-4pm, Sunday 16 June
In partnership with Strange Perfume, Camp Books and South London Gallery, we will be hosting a potluck picnic with the Feminist Print Network in Brunswick Park. The social is free and open to all and will include readings by members of the network from feminist print history. Bring picnic food to share and/or something to read if you wish.
The Feminist Print Network work collectively to support independent print and publishing practices in the UK through online meetings, crits and activities such as prodcuing a directory and newsletter. By engaging with the creative and political importance of self-publishing and the legacies of radical print; their activities are developed through ongoing meetings and discussions. The network functions as a space for all genders, and believes in feminism as a politics to 'dismantle the world that is built to only accomodate some bodies' (Sara Ahmed).
Also at Strange Perfume, Shelley Marlow, author of Publication Studio's Two Augusts in a Row in a Row will be reading in the South London Gallery garden at 5pm on Saturday 15 June. Publication Studio London will be participating in the communal table at the book fair all day from 11am-6pm.
